CALLING ALL SOULS HUNGRY FOR A MORE CREATIVE LIFE!

Emily's Creativity Workshops are
for anyone who wants to nurture their creativity!

Saturday Mornings from 10:15-11:15
This is an ongoing workshop series
and you may jump in and end at any time!

This workshop will help you learn to discover your inner artist, poet, or musician.  Within a supportive and safe environment of others, move past those nasty creative blocks and monsters.  Using playful and practical tools such as writing, archetypal drawing, and mandalas, this class will teach you how to find your unique creative essence and create a more passionate and joyful life!  After finding your creative self, you will also explore how to bridge the gap between one's art and the realities of life.

Whether you consider yourself "non-creative" (we'll fix that one!) or are a professional working artist, this workshop is for individuals of all levels.  This is because the work is done on an individual basis, and everyone has their own path.

WARNING:  This workshop can be very powerful.  Be prepared for life changing experiences!  As we look inside of ourselves at some of our creative blocks, sometimes we find painful stuff.  We encourage you to continue the process, plough through the tough part, and your fellow workshop members will be there supporting you each week!

Needed Text:
The Artist Way by Julia Cameron ($15.95) Start the workshop with this book, a 12 part journey into finding your creative self. 
Walking In This World by Julia Cameron.  This would be the next recommended book, looking at how to bridge the gap between our art and life's realities.

Your creativity coach & teacher is Emily Yurcheshen.  Emily is a progressive educator, piano/guitar player, singer/songwriter, & visual artist in many mediums.  She combines her educational background with her passion for the arts to create, perform, and inspire people of all ages to express their creativity within.

Emily received her Masters of Arts in Teaching from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and traveled to Portugal where she taught in an American International school.  Her world travel inspired her to begin composing and honing in on her technical music skills.  Emily leads an after-school enrichment program in Morrow Bay, facilitates workshops, does consulting, teaches piano and guitar at Divine Appointment guitars, and performs in the community.  Her most recent CD project entitled "Restless" includes songs of inspiration, empowerment, and gratitude.
