BEAUJOLAIS
Beaujolais takes its name
from the saucy French harvest wine that is synonymous with spontaneous
celebration. (and yes, sometimes spontaneous combustion as well!) The Band
is comprised of old friends (and new friends who feel like old friends) who
share a deep passion for its rootsy style of music. With their soaring
harmonies and eclectic repertoire ranging from original material to folk to
standards, this is a group that you simply don't want to miss!
So let us introduce you to
the band...
If you've watched the music
scene for a while, you'll know Keith Barbour (seated
far right) as one of the ex-New Christy Minstrels. Keith was also the
recording artist of the '60's hit "Echo Park.." His vocals will take you to
another place and time! His wife, Linda Barbour is
also a singer & songwriter. As well as being a pretty face (every band
needs 'em!), she is also a real kick in the pants, providing strong momentum
for the group. Scott Bailey
of Atascadero (standing on left side) brings mischievous vocals & charm to
the group with his diverse instrumental talent on mandolin, guitar, lap
steel, harp, and anything else he can fit in his truck. Many locals may
know him as the leader of our DAG jam nights.
You know Matt
Franscioni (guy in the middle) as yours truly, the guitar
guy at Divine Appointment Guitars in Paso Robles. When playing with others,
however, he prefers a set of brushes, cymbals, cajon, and his homemade drum
box! Rick Auricchio
(back right) provides the light, fleeting bass lines across wandering
melodies. Rick is also a fixture in the Cambria music and theater scenes.
